¹⁸ If possible, so far as it depends on you, live in shalom with all people. ¹⁹ Never take your own revenge, loved ones, but give room for God’s wrath—for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,”^[a] says Adonai. ²⁰ Rather, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For by doing so you will heap coals of fire upon his head.”
